About Us

Dr. Michael Lützebauer gained extensive experience with major international management consulting firms – as principal of a leading US firm, but also as client when he worked for two major German banks. As consequence, he has established his own management consulting company in 2007 as he strongly believes that only very senior and experienced consultants provide sustainable and great value for clients at highest quality and within short period of time.

Only very senior consulting support with longtime experience and successful track record - usually by Dr. Michael Lützebauer himself; no graduates who have just joined a consulting company or junior consultants trained on projects

The effectiveness of our consulting approach has been proven by several successful consulting projects. Examples are a two year transformation/turnaround of a bank in CEE with 10,000 employees consisting of 20 projects, a set-up of a transformation implementation reporting for one of the largest insurance companies in Europe, and an enhancement of the commission and fee income of the corporate business of a leading African bank.

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Principal (1994 - 2004)

Performed projects in different areas incl. strategy/business development, re-engineering/cost reduction, turnaround, controlling, reorganization and post-merger integration.

Industry experience: financial services, industrial goods, automotive, retailing, consumer goods.

Joined BCG' new Turkish office in Istanbul for almost two years developing the local business and coaching the consulting staff.

HypoVereinsbank AG (Unicredit Group), Head of Corporate Operations Development (2004 - 2006)
Improved the bank's operations, managed major cost reduction program, supported post merger integration of Uncredit's operations in Germany, Austria and Italy.

Deutsche Bank AG, Private and Business Clients, Head of Business Development (2006)
Responsible for German retail, private and business banking segment, developed growth strategies for different segments and determined synergies for two acquired banks

  • Consultant to Cerberus Capital Management LLP, N.Y., U.S. (2.5 years)

Supported a major acquisition (commercial due diligence, business planning, investor discussions, financial modelling), provided improvement concepts (revenue increase, cost reduction) for the acquired company, supported sale of  two CEE subsidiaries, supported several due diligences and developed business plans for potential acquisitions, performed five-year planning incl. financial modelling

  • Consultant to a leading Ukrainian bank (2 years)

Set up, performed, managed and controlled a comprehensive restructuring program covering all banking areas; state of the art concepts for various improvement projects provided

  • Interim Restructuring CEO of an investment and private equity company (3 years)

Restructured accounting, performed missing year end closings, liquidated assets, cut expenses, performed litigations, collected receivables

  • Interim Managing Director of a German midcap real estate investor and prorperty management company (3 years)
